Before you choose a Real Estate Agent, there a few important questions you should ask the potential agent about buying a home.

1. How long have you been in Real Estate? (An experienced agent can save you thousands!)
   
   
   
2. Do I need to have an agent to represent me? Just what is a buyer's agent? Do I need one?
   
   
   
3. What Real Estate designations do you possess?
   
   
   
4. Can you explain the advantages and disadvantages of a 30 year fixed mortgage?
   
   
   
5. What about a 15/20/25 mortgage?
   
   
   
6. How about a 1, 3 or 5 year adjustable? When will it benefit me to consider this type of financing?
   
   
   
7. Do you have references? Can I call some of them?
